Some days back , i bought the deal for Ala-carte buffet at Old Hong Kong Essence from Deal.sg.

We had been look around for dim sum buffet dinner.However not much restaurant provide dim sum during dinner.I was really happy to see this deal.

Under this deal, they have 2 options that were available. I took up the 2nd option which consist of A la Carte Dim sum buffet + Double boiled Soup (No Msg)+ Cantonese Delicacies + Dessert Buffets + Free flow of Herbal Tea. The Deal cost me $26.80 excluding GST per person

Finally,after waiting for quite a while as we reached the place before their opening hours.We were hoping for a good dim sum dinner as i had try the dim sum high tea at Old Hong Kong Restaurant (Square 2) previously.

A table had been already assigned to us when we did the advance booking . I like the feature wall which is decorated with real plates.

Looking the the menu,we really does not know what to order. I was quite disappointed as the variety for the dim sum is limited.The desert menu was a total disappointment, they only have a total of 6 kinds of deserts.The Service at the restaurant is slow too.The buffet was limited to 2.5 hrs. We waited for half and hour before our 1st dishes was served.

I love their Double-boiled soup. All the essence were all in their soup. The soup had a natural taste of sweetness. You really will not be able to stop afer the first slip.The chicken was soft and tender too. Yum Yum ~❤

Dumpling with truffles ( Limited to 1 per person)

The dumpling was extremely nice. The skin was thin and it filled with the delicious soup inside the dumpling. The filling was nice too. How i wish this is not limited.

Steam shrimp dumpling

This another of my favorite. The skin of the dumpling was thin and it was packed with a few whole shrimps

Stir-fried rice roll with special sauce

I totally dislike this dish.The rice roll was totally over powered with the special sauce that does not taste nice at all,It over spicy with those curry powder after taste and garlic taste. Is a total NO-NO
